This page is about experiencing a beginner’s scramble as a half-day adventure experience. We also offer:

  • Scrambling courses: for those who want to learn the skills to enable them to scramble safely on their own
  • Guided scrambling: full-day ‘graded’ scrambling routes in the high mountains

Rock climbing is based near to Coniston. You will be sent full details on where to meet when you book.

Anyone aged 12 and above.

Any group members under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent(s) or legal guardian. Sorry but uncles, aunties, grandparents, family friends etc are not classed as legal guardians.

Scrambling involves about 200m vertical ascent of tricky scrambling (hands on rock), so a relatively good level of fitness and being a naturally active person will definitely play to your advantage.

You don't need any prior experience.

There are no weight limits.

Our safety kit will not fit someone with a waist that is larger than 150cm.

We will share a kit list with you when you book, but all you really need are warm and waterproof ‘outdoor’ clothes and footwear. We will provide all safety equipment such as harnesses and helmets.

We take loads of photos and we share them with you for free.
